Changes

Lots of changes happening here, too many to post here though! We love the changes in our home and lives right now. It's amazing how many things can change is so little time!

I love the change from Spring/Winter to Summer - I experienced the 1st time in 5 years living in Canada that there was snow on the ground in the middle of May and June too! What a change that is! I always use to laugh that there wasn't enough months of summer up here - but when June gets snow, it really throughs me for a loop!

Life keeps us busy and we are loving it! Hope you are all doing well and whatever changes come your way - may you be blessed and love it too!

General Conference

I LOVED CONFERENCE! So much to learn again and renew my Faith in my Heavenly Fathers plan of happiness for His children - and in my Savior, Jesus Christ! What a wonderful way to spend Saturday/Sunday, and get ready for the reason Easter Sunday next week is so special - JESUS was resurrected so we all can have immortality! We can also gain Eternal Life and return to live with our Father in Heaven because of the Atonement of Jesus Christ.
I also really enjoyed a talk given yesterday, Saturday, about how we need more members to be strong and keep their Temple Covenants. Again today, it was talked about, how important it is for those that have been to the Holy Temple, to return there often! Those who went and never went back, to get their lives in order so they can return there again. And, those that have a current Temple Recommend and don't go, to go more often! The importance of the covenants made in the Temple that Protect us was also mentioned! It really is time to be more committed and to "Do What is Right!" I loved what was said today that, we are never really lost if we can still see the Temple! So true!

And, the humbling part of addicitons being more than alcohol/drug. That even DEBT can be an addiction to "Things!" So true! I want to do more and be better! There is much I can improve on, and I know that with my Heavenly Fathers help, I can!

I am so grateful to have made covenants in the Holy Temple. I'm so thankful for a wonderful mother, who raised 5 girls on her own with very little help! She taught us the truth and continues to love me, even when I may make wrong choices. She keeps reminding my sisters and me of the Truth and what we should be doing. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior, that Heavenly Father knows me by name, that the scriptures (The Bible & The Book of Mormon) are true and go hand in hand proclaiming the truth of Jesus Christ! We have the Fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ on the Earth! There is a Prophet of God, Pres. Thomas S. Monson, is the Prophet on the earth today! We have 12 Apostles! We can know the truth for ourselves by kneeling and asking our Heavenly Father if it is true. What a blessing it is for each individual to learn this for themselves!

Temples

Here is a link to a You Tube video I want to share!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-x_-TQivCx8

This video is a reminder of why Temples are built. It is great to hear from scholars of different faiths also sharing their understanding of the purpose of Temples - quoting from the Holy Bible!
I am a Christian - I believe in Christ! I love the Temple and the great peaceful feeling I can feel while attending. This is the Cardston Alberta Temple that I currently attend as often as I can - I live @ 20 minutes away! What a blessing it is to me and my family!

Released & Called

Today was an interesting day - and great one! I was released as Second Counselor in the Primary because our President was released. Then - a new President was called, my hubby's Aunt - and I was re-Called as the 2nd Counselor again! So - I was able to get set apart once again! I need the extra blessings! And - our new Bishop set me apart and gave me a special blessing! It was AWESOME - and it is so neat to have the Priesthood reveal so much that my Heavenly Father wants me to know and bless me with! Of course - a key word - Patience was used, but it was wonderful! The neatest experience for me was when all I could hear was complete silence and his voice as he blessed me so wonderfully! The Spirit was so strong in the room! So - it was a great day! I love my Heavenly Father and I know he is aware of me personally!

Same Old - Same Old

Nothing much happening that is new. When you don't have any kidlets around - not much seems to change! Just work, work, church, work, work, etc.

The King has been working on and off with the winter season. They might start putting in a pipeline - but when it gets too cold, they can't dig into the ground to do it. After a few weeks of nice, sunny and warmer weather (@ 10+ C), it's snowing and getting cold again!

The Queen is getting ready for the next Band Music Festival and Spring Band Concert for school. Being the "Band-Aide" (LOL) keeps me busy!

Sundays in our Home

Most Sundays start with us waking up a little late - we usually sleep in until 830-9 am! We attend church in our small town - it starts at 10:00 am. We are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We belong to a good sized Ward in Southern Alberta. It is so neat to see so many people volunteer their time and talents to allow the Sunday services to run smoothly! Church starts with Primary for me & Priesthood (the Men's group) for my hubby. I stay in Primary for 2 hours - having the Jr (4-8) & Sr (9-11) Primary groups split up to have classes, singing time and sharing time separately. My hubby gets to go to Sunday School (all adults together) the 2nd hour. Then, the 3rd hour - we get together to enjoy Sacrament Meeting.

After church gets out at 1:00 pm - we come home. We try and make a quick, easy dinner - nothing fancy. We eat - then we sit on the couch together and talk - and usually end up falling asleep - so hubby goes to the bed for his nap, and I curl up on the couch with a blankie and we sleep for as long as we want! I know, I know - if we had kids, this wouldn't happen - so until then - we'll enjoy and splurge on being "kid-less"!

We then eat left-overs and have a dessert of some sort. Tonight was Neopolitan ice cream! Then we either play a game together, talk to family on the phone, check the family websites or watch a movie together!
