Sundays in our Home

Most Sundays start with us waking up a little late - we usually sleep in until 830-9 am! We attend church in our small town - it starts at 10:00 am. We are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We belong to a good sized Ward in Southern Alberta. It is so neat to see so many people volunteer their time and talents to allow the Sunday services to run smoothly! Church starts with Primary for me & Priesthood (the Men's group) for my hubby. I stay in Primary for 2 hours - having the Jr (4-8) & Sr (9-11) Primary groups split up to have classes, singing time and sharing time separately. My hubby gets to go to Sunday School (all adults together) the 2nd hour. Then, the 3rd hour - we get together to enjoy Sacrament Meeting.

After church gets out at 1:00 pm - we come home. We try and make a quick, easy dinner - nothing fancy. We eat - then we sit on the couch together and talk - and usually end up falling asleep - so hubby goes to the bed for his nap, and I curl up on the couch with a blankie and we sleep for as long as we want! I know, I know - if we had kids, this wouldn't happen - so until then - we'll enjoy and splurge on being "kid-less"!

We then eat left-overs and have a dessert of some sort. Tonight was Neopolitan ice cream! Then we either play a game together, talk to family on the phone, check the family websites or watch a movie together!

  1. What a wonderful way to spend a Sunday. Ours are about the same as our, just with a bit more noise! Sunday is a good day for Family.
